OPU Indoor Spring 2026 Mini Club

2026 Spring Mini Club

General Information

NEW SPRING 2026 UPDATE:
All practices for Spring Mini Club will be from 3:30-5 pm on either Monday/Wednesdays or Tuesday/Thursdays.

We are aware that the Marion County School System release schedule changed last year and that most middle schools in the county now get out closer to 4 pm. However, we are not able to move our practice schedule due to gym availability.

We will be trying to form as many teams as we can accommodate with similar age groups.

For elementary age (5th grade and younger), since the school release schedule does not interfere, sign-ups will be as usual, first-come, first-served until we are at capacity with how many teams we can accommodate.

For middle school age (6th-8th) with the later release times, we will allow registrations, but the teams formed might be a mix of ages, as we will need a minimum number of players that can participate in the 3:30-5 pm time slot. Please only register your middle school player if you are able to make the 3:30-5 pm time slot.

Space/Availability:
Spring Mini Club will have limited spots available. Spots will be first come, first served based on the online registration completion time.

Once we have reached the number of players we can accommodate, online registration will be shut down and we will begin taking names for a waiting list.

Dates:
Tryout: Feb 18th, 2026 from 3:30-4:30 pm
All practices 3:30-5:00 pm, days not assigned until after tryouts when teams are formed/coaches assigned*
Practice Start Date: Week of March 2nd, 2026
Practice End Date: Week of April 27th, 2026

Tournament:
Typically, one of the last weekends in April/the first weekend in May.
Spring mini club usually has a single one-day tournament at the end of the season. If a tournament is not available for teams to enter into, there will be a play day/scrimmage on the tournament date. This will be determined by the number and age of teams formed from tryouts. Information regarding the tournament or scrimmage will be sent out when it is available.

Online registration will be required for Spring 2026 Mini Club as well as an active AAU membership.

Want to be on a Volleyball Team?

OPU Mini Club is for girls ages 14 and under.  Mini Club is geared towards young athletes who are looking to develop their fundamental volleyball skills and to be able to compete in local tournaments.  Mini Clubs play competitive local volleyball clubs so that they can experience tournament-like competition.  The goal is for these athletes to be able to make a school team and put them on the right path to play at higher more competitive levels. Teams are formed by age groups, skill level, and practice twice a week for 6-8 weeks.
